What is Friends Pet Fest?

Friends Pet Fest is the Friends of the Jefferson Animal Shelter's Second Annual all breed, all species, companion festival and pet adoption event. It is an event where Pets can bring their families for a day of fun, Education, Delicious Food and Entertainment. Take a look at last year's Pet Fest photos!

Who can attend Friends Pet Fest?

Leashed pets over 3 months old* and their families. Please use non-flexible leashes.

*note: Animals under 3 months of age are not yet protected from transmittable diseases. Please, no animals under 3 months of age and you must have them on a leash!

Who is the Friends of the Jefferson Animal Shelter?

The Friends of the Jefferson Animal Shelter is a nonprofit organization and public charity. Our mission is to assist the shelter to alleviate the suffering of homeless animals through several programs, including but not limited to: home fostering, behavioral training and socialization, offsite pet adoptions, adoption and follow-up counseling, and spay/neuter assistance. Friends Fest will feature animal rescue groups, agility & training demonstrations, games for pets and their owners, pet related vendors catering to pet enthusiasts and much more!

You can join us this year and participate with your pet or your business or organization can set up a booth and help provide the public with an informative, educational and fun-filled festival. Friends Pet Fest is not just for pet owners, it is a great family event!
